Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy Saint Patrick's Day...okay so it was more like Happy Saint Patrick's Weekend because Haley was really into the Holiday this year. It started with school on Friday where she made sure she wore green so that they could catch the Leprechaun in a decorated trap that they made out of a shoe box. Then on Saturday we had green pancakes for breakfast, and were going to make green cookies for after lunch, but Renee decided she wanted to have the neighbors over to make ice cream sundaes. So we put the cookies off until Sunday. The sundaes were a big hit by the way.

Haley and I Skipping Rocks

Just a quick trip to a park so Haley could play. I decided to show Haley how to skip rocks since there is a stream that runs along the park.

"Is this a good one Dad?"

Getting the basics down

That was a sinker

She's so happy she can skip rocks now!

Trip to the Tulsa Aquarium

The forecast called for rain all day on Sunday so we decided to get out of the house and visit the Tulsa Aquarium. We really like this aquarium because is has several touch tanks and feeding areas. It also has a cool walk-through shark tank. Check out the videos at the end to see it.

Haley had a lot of fun showing Blake all the sea creatures. She also enjoyed feeding the turtles and rays. After we left the aquarium we stopped off at The Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch. Haley and Renee shared the cookie dough cheesecake while I had the apple crisp (all to myself!). Yummy!

SpongeBob, we found Patrick!

This is a collage of some of the pictures that Haley took of the fish with my camera. She was very excited to take the pictures.

Too many choices

Haley approves!

Blake Turns One Month Old

Okay so this post is about two weeks late, but the picks are from when he was actually one-month old.

Grandpa Harris, Grandpa Rinaldi, and Jeanne Come to Visit

Blake met his Grandpas this week! Okay, so maybe it was three weeks ago...I'm a little late on this post. Grandpa Rinaldi and Jeanne flew in first and then Grandpa Harris joined us later in the week. The weather really cooperated with us and we were able to get out for some refreshing walks, which at this point, is one of Blake's favorite activities--other than eating of course.

We visited Bella Vista Lake to feed the ducks and geese. We also walked along some of the new Crystal Bridges trails that overlook the museum. Haley really enjoyed a "walk" around the neighborhood because she was able to be pushed by Grandpa Harris in the jogging stroller while Blake rode in his stroller. Finally, we squeezed in a day at Lake Fayetteville. Haley had fun playing while Renee and Grandpa Harris walked along the lake.
